What to expect?

Once we all gather at the Sólheimajökull parking lot, we'll begin our walk toward the glacier. Our new route takes us behind the mountain through a beautiful, untouched canyon, offering spectacular scenery before we even step onto the ice. The walk to the glacier is approximately 2.5 km and takes around 40 minutes, depending on the group's pace.

Once we reach the glacier's tongue, we'll have a full safety briefing, and I'll help you fit all of your glacier and climbing equipment before we step onto the ice.

From there, we'll make our way across the glacier, crossing crevasses and moulins until we find the perfect location to begin climbing. I'll go through the climbing techniques with you, explain how to move efficiently on the ice, and make sure you feel comfortable before we start.

One of the advantages of this tour is that we can explore different parts of the glacier throughout the day, giving you the opportunity to try different climbing routes and gradually progress to more challenging ice walls, always at a pace that matches your ability and confidence.

We'll spend approximately 3 hours on the glacier, allowing plenty of time for climbing, exploring, taking photos, and enjoying the incredible surroundings. Afterward, we'll hike back to the parking lot with unforgettable memories, amazing photographs, and finish the day with a warm cup of coffee.

The total experience now lasts approximately 5.5 hours.

I can't wait to introduce you to my world.
